ParticipantI refreshed multiple times and I kept getting an access denied or a system maintenance message, several hours apart. But it’s working now.

What I see for the full period:
Kathy Lewis is 34, Megan Jones 37. There are four women ahead of them in the 20s (myself included).
Very strange, and also a bit demoralizing — if everyone is seeing something different, how are we to know where we stand?

If they look in the same place, they will see the same thing. Some people confuse local(state) and community leaderboards. Also many don’t realize they need to change the period shown from the current month to entire period to see the leaderboard for the entire period.

That my guess too–it’s a cumbersome interface. A bit shoddy for a nationwide contest on this scale.
Most of the problems are user error.

I stopped logging a while ago, but did go back and enter some miles today. I was interested in looking to see what the leaders had done, only to find out that the #1 leader has been disqualified because he doesn’t have fancy GPS gear.
In what sense is he disqualified? He’s still at the top of the leaderboard. I enter my mies manually, but I have GPS tracks of all my rides.

ParticipantThe FAQ page for the National Bike Challenge states that we are allowed to log rides manually:
http://www.endomondo.com/campaign/national/faqs
Maybe that isn’t allowed for the other challenges on the site. If so, that’s a good reason to stop logging rides on the site after the NBC ends.

ParticipantNot me. My long weekend has started already. I plan to visit Total Wine tomorrow.
I’m soooooooo glad to be done with Endomondo. I wonder if they can host this thing somewhere else next year ?
The only thing they do I like is the accuweather beta thing, so you can see what the weather was like when you were out riding.

I can think of at least one other way to accomplish this that doesn’t require a computer

ParticipantI never used the app. I subtract my commute distance from the total workday miles and log the difference as one transport trip. In fact my commute is not always exactly the same length and I make many transport trips pulling a large trailer with up to 300lb on it.
On the weekends I rode sport miles, something new to me. The last few weeks I rode sport miles in the evening after work trying to catch consular for second place in the Greater DC community. It’s been fun!

ParticipantIt has been fun chasing people with this challenge. It has definitely helped me come back from being sick! Thanks y’all for a great challenge.

ParticipantAll you folks out there banking miles, today is the day to get them recorded.

ParticipantDoes something like this take place every year? I’d love to take part next year if so.

First I’ve heard of it. They got a lot of participation though so I’d expect it would be back. I just hope they’ll choose an easier interface this time.
And I do need to empty my Garmin on to endomondo now… been hoarding miles.

ParticipantIs anyone else unable to enter miles for the challenge today?
