ParticipantYeah, FitnessSyncer has been working perfectly for me. I can force the sync, or if I just leave it alone, it syncs all by itself within a few hours.
NBC started out crediting MMF rides to the wrong day. Then it fixed that problem, and credited them correctly. But as of yesterday, my miles for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were not showing up on NBC, even though they were showing up on MMF, so it looks like NBC had some new bug. Jacob added it to the long list of bugs I’ve reported, and it looks like it was fixed within the past couple of hours. (I’m administrator for a league, a team, a workplace, and a school, so I get the privilege of finding all the bugs!)

I’ve had similar issues, although the data is eventually picked up, just not right away… more like w/in 12 hours or so. At least it’s crediting the synced miles to the right day once they do sync up.
But other uses for MMR data, like Earndit, are picking up the miles and syncing them instantly after I sync manually using FitnessSyncer.

ParticipantI synced up with MapMyRide through Strava as directed earlier in the thread. I had no idea I was such a slow rider: 0.04mph
But look at that time in the saddle!!!!

ParticipantTime in the saddle is the truest measure of cycling performance. Thanks for joining the Washington Area All-Stars, SteveO! You told me you didn’t want to. I’m glad you’ve had a change in heart. SteveE our top rider last year has consented to join on the condition that I ride a little less while my broken femur heals. So the team is coming together.
The problem with FitnessSyncer is the possibility of doubled or tripled miles. Two of our teammates are first and second on the leaderboard with bogus stats.

Keep in mind that a year of hours 24/7 is 8,760. So my time in the saddle above is almost 15 years, 24/7/365. That’s a lot of time to only go 5000 miles!
Rod – the reason I didn’t want to join was the hassle of Endomondo and the extra work involved in logging miles. If I don’t have to do anything extra, then no biggie – happy to have my miles counted. Thanks for the encouragement, though.

Broken femur! What broken bone?! That’s the first I’ve heard of it. What happened?! Hope you are healing quickly.

I slipped on oily road, very slippery, went down hard on left hip. The load bearing part of the femur is fine, the connections to pelvis and knee are completely undamaged. So it is the least serious femur fracture. The tip of the great trochanter (a piece of the femur that sticks out opposite from the ball shaped femur head, has broken off. It’s where the abductor muscle attaches to the femur so it’s important that it grows back but my injury is much less serious than typical femur fracture.

I think I have this problem fixed moving forward and removed the duplicate miles from my Map My Ride log but I can’t seem to delete them from the National Bike Challenge log!! I hate having dup miles posted.

Oh man, that sucks! No small irony that you biked all winter without injury. Glad it’s the least scary femur type of injury. I guess they can’t cast it and the only way to get it to heal faster is to pin or plate it. Hope you are not in too much pain.
Fingers crossed for a speedy healing. Totally sucks this affects your livelihood so directly.

ParticipantOkay, so I was reluctant to join the NBC, because it was a hassle to manually log my rides in Endomondo after I had already uploaded them to Strava. NBC doesn’t use Strava.
Then the nice people on this thread told me how to use FitnessSyncer to sync Strava with MapMyRide, which would then automatically sync to NBC. Hassle free, right?Well, I must be doing something wrong. It seems I got the sync from Strava to MMR to work (kind of – see below for weirdness). Now my Strava rides are automatically synced to MMR.
But nothing is showing up in NBC. I authorized the app just as discussed, and I can even click on the “Sync Now” button for MMR in the challenge. But it shows no miles; no rides. A big fat zero.
Please advise.

ParticipantCan you please report this issue on the support forum at this link? I know they have been working hard to resolve the software problems that have been reported there.

I’ve had this issue intermittently where NBC doesn’t pick up my MMR rides (synced from Strava using FitnessSyncer). For instance this evening’s commute has been on MMR for a coule hours already and even forced syncs at NBC won’t bring it up there. It usually shows up w/in 12 hours, i.e., I expect when I upload and sync my morning commute tomorrow, the evening one will probably finally show up. Not sure what the issue is, but it’s entirely on NBC’s end. Earndit sees my MMR rides instantly, for instance. Try checking again in the AM and see if it’s any better. Should be if my experience is any guide.
In a word, fret not. You’re doing everything right. It’s a technical glitch w/ the NBC site and will hopefully be better soon… hopefully.

ParticipantYou can join by going to this link, and clicking the Join button. Of course, the site seems to be overloaded today, so it may take a few tries.
Or you can follow this video, which gives step-by-step instructions–and is actually based on our team:

Nope. Nothing. It says I rode zero miles this week, which is what it has been saying all along. I’d love to chip in my miles with the NBC DC All-stars, but I’m not going to invest much more time.
Dasgeh – I reported it at the link you gave.
