Great ride – thanks for leading. That was the first real ride for the bike outside of a couple of laps of Hains, glad all the pieces stayed attached. Had a little mechanical yesterday morning but luckily just outside of Rev Cycles in Georgetown. Apparently 32 degrees is too cold for me to be able to work with my hands outside.
Whenever, wherever, unless I’ll need 4″ tires to follow….

ParticipantHey Dave,
I wanted to ask your opinion on your Fizik Arione saddle. Do you like it? Long rides?January 25, 2012 at 10:52 am #935023CCrew

I’ve been riding Bontrager saddles like that one in the first picture for about 4 years and the Arione was a gift. I wasn’t sure about it but I felt bad not putting it on there and so far I’m happy with it. I like that the length of it gives you room to move around a little. I haven’t done more than about 3.5 hours on it so far but all signs are good.

ParticipantThanks, still trying to decide if the stock saddle on my Blue Norcross is going to work out. If not, then what? Planning a burger run on the WOD on Saturday so a decision maybe made over the weekend. Looking at Arione and Aliente.

ParticipantMany shops have loaner saddles they’ll give you for a chance to try it out and see if it works for you. I know Fizik has a loaner program where they provide specially-colored saddles to shops for just this purpose.

ParticipantThanks, I have heard about those. I will give Freshbikes a call to see if they have such a program with fizik since they are a dealer.

We’ll be doing plenty of rides like that throughout the season. That one is particularly good because it lets people ride as long as they like. Not all are set up like that, but we try to get a drafting pattern set up to keep the whole group moving at a reasonable pace.
