Next time I will be more strategic about clothes to carry, and will pump more carefully.

    #1: well done!

#2: Hills get easier the more you do them. Unfortunately, short of a technological solution, the only way they get easier is if you do more of them.

Monday I decided to take the old MTB home. It was low on air, and its always been slower and harder to ride, so I bailed and just rode to the Pentagon as usual, and put it on the 7B.

Today I decided to do take the Dew home. Pumped the low tire, but didn’t have a gauge with me and didn’t pump long enough, so the front tire was still somewhat low when I rode. Nonetheless it was a lot better than riding the MTB. Coming down from the 14th Street bridge, I made the right turn instead of the left to the Humpback.

As you head south past National Airport, the Crystal City Connector leads you to the Water Park where there is a fix-ation with an air pump (thank you Crystal City BID!). Look to your right after you come out of the rail tunnel. It is next to the little food building.

Looks like Arlington Mill to Walter Reed to King is your best bet for avoiding that North Fairlington hill.
