Monday Coffee Meetup?

I’m up for that, although I might be walking there with Yaktrax on. Would around 7:30 work? (If we have delayed arrival this could be changed to a later time.)

I’ll be walking that way anyway, so no worries if it’s too icy and you change your mind.

Yeah, looking out at my driveway and steps and their coating of ice, I think I may have to put this off until Tuesday. Nothing will be melting until mid-morning, and the gas company has requested I be home by 11. Bummer.

There was too much ice for me to get out this morning. I waited for some thermal melting to occur before going for my ride. Will anyone be at Best Buns on Tuesday morning before the next wintry mix hits us?

I could be persuaded to do this, if it doesn’t start at 7:00 am. I could probably be there at 8:00, since I’m lazy. I’m also assuming my studs will get me by the messy W&OD bits between the Custis and Columbia Pike.

The WOD is fine for slicks except for the underpasses at Wilson, Carlyn Springs, and Route 50, which require Flintstoning.

I’m keeping my studs on, since my commute on the W&OD between Gallows and Park St is likely still an icy death-slog, and will be until mid-July.

I’m planning on using Park-Cedar-Cottage-Sandburg as a workaround for this tomorrow. I haven’t gone this way before but I’m guessing there’s no ice.

Cottage was great last week, so it should be fine tomorrow. I’ve not ridden on Cedar…seems narrow and full of cars. I always take Cottage all the way to the end in Vienna, but I’m trying to end up in Vienna, so that works for me.

Looking at the map, there’s a street named Patrick that would also get me to Cottage, so maybe I’ll take that and avoid Cedar. In any event, I’d only be on Cedar for about 1/5 of a mile and I’m not expecting too many cars at 6:15 in the a.m.
