With apologies to Rogers and Hammerstein:

Peds and tots and bikes better scurry
When I take you on my beer surrey.
When I take you on my beer surrey
    With the fringe on top.

Of course, this important new drinking trend begs the question, “What’s next?”

In other news, the reporters and editors at the Post don’t know the meaning of the phrase “begs the question.”

It would seem that the Arlington Bike Advisory Committee would be the appropriate review body for such a device.

Oh, my, God. This is awesome. Never thought I’d see the day!

These usually require groups of people to reserve – you can’t just hop on and order a drink. We should form a group immediately! This is the ultimate BikeArlington happy hour!

Maybe as a celebratory last ride for freezing saddles!

    It’s a “blog.”

Its really weird to me how drinking+driving is generally agreed to be a really bad thing, but drinking+cycling is suddenly an awesome idea.

In this case, I don’t believe that you are the one doing the steering. That’s left up to the trolley operator. Think of it more like a party van or a keg bus.

This is drinking and pedaling. A sober person steers.

Which is how I would like to ride all the time, if I could.

If they’re going to have different standards for their blogs, such errors shouldn’t show up in their articles.

“This also begs the question, do small businesses need capital to grow or just to survive?”

Just one of many other examples.

I still find it a pretty poor example to be setting. I feel the same way about party vans and similar.

    Yeah.

This begs the question, do newspapers need to be as dumb as blogs to survive?

How about cocktails on an airplane?

A for-hire party van driver by a sober professional is probably alot safer than a bunch of guys going out and driving on their own.

This trolley goes slower than a pedicab. It’s not going to run over anyone. I think drinking and not driving is always a good example.
