Missed Connection is my favorite thread on this forum. In addition to therapeutic and entertainment value, it is also educational to readers. By following it, I learn about the types of hazards others are encountering and where they are occurring, and I can use this to inform my decisions. It helps to make us all safer.

Perhaps this thread itself should be migrated to this sub-forum? I don’t think we want new threads for every such encounter (although some will warrant their own thread).

I’d be inclined to take out the “Close Calls” part and leave that in Missed Connections.
Reserve this for real crashes, true road rage incidents and other situations that rise to a level where there’s an actual striking, property damage, injury or serious altercation (someone stopping and threatening, for instance).

Not to diminish the close passing, failure to yield, etc. behavior we see all the time, but I agree we need to separate those somehow to keep these topics distinct and to have this Forum Topic serve a different purpose.

As the founder of Missed Connections, I say that “close call” is exactly what a missed connection is. An “incident” might sometimes be more of a connection that wasn’t missed though.
