So, last night’s commute was a mess with at least 2 feet of water on the trail in this section. The work around isn’t bad, though. Just take Alt Route 1 (wide lanes) and Decatur Street (bike lane) to bypass the low-lying trail area.
By 8:30 this morning when I went throught, the water had receded below the trail, but they hadn’t taken down the tape yet. There’s one muddy/sandy section at the Alt Route 1 underpass that would be very difficult on a road bike.
PS. By last night the path had been cleared. Thanks to MNCPPC or whichever maintenance agency cleared out the mud!
