Hey everyone! I’m participating in a WABA Trail Ranger clean up on the Metropolitan Branch Trail on Monday January 15th for the Martin Luther King Jr Day of Service. I’m planning on scoring a Beerneuring point afterwards at Atlas. I’d love for some forum folks and Freezing Saddles participants to join me. There will be kid friendly tasks so this is a great one for parents who want to demonstrate the value of community service for their kiddos. I hope to see lots of you out there. The Met Branch is a great trail through central DC and this event will help make a beautiful trail mural visible again.

TimeGather for coffee at 8:30. Cleanup starts at 9 and runs to 11ish.

    Meeting Location:
Carlos Rosario School – Sonia Gutierrez Campus
    514 V St NE
    Washington, DC 20002

WABA had a nice post about the work that was accomplished on MLK day. LhasaCM managed to be at the front of the group picture along with his wife and little one (who’s sporting a Freezing Saddles zipper pull on her coat).

That wasn’t by design. We were on the side of the room away from the food and registration tables, but near the stairs (which became the announcement stage/photo stand). You can tell that the little one is THRILLED to have her picture taken :)
