Yeah! I started wondering if folks were hinting at Kill Bill 2016, but I couldn’t find anything on it. I should’ve known it was on Facebook (the best place to hide things in plain sight from me).

Unfortunately, by the time I saw the post it was 11pm last night, and I’m not confident (foolish?) enough to join up on a whim with no prep.

Since I’m back in Ukraine, no Kill Bill for me. Instead it was the Embassy group ride with the Ambassador with a special twist, six members of Team Novo Nordisk joined the eight of us on the smooth and flat VR120 route. While they may have been taking it easy, it was my fastest time ever over 44 miles (19.4 mph going out, 20.2 mph on the way back) although I may have been close on a couple of the Air Force Classic/Crystal Rides.

Congrats to all the intrepid riders who sweated their way through Kill Bill today. And to all those with the common sense to abstain. And a big thank-you to Bob Cannon for hosting such a festive and well-stocked pit stop at the mid-way point…what a fun celebration.

This year’s Kill Bill appeared to be about 115-120 miles (every rider’s mileage is a little different, and some included to and from)
(disclosure: My 2016 “Kill Bill” was about 11 miles of riding to Cannon’s and Clare & Don’s)
2015 looked to be about 106-108 miles
2013 and 2014 appear to be in the 104 range

Is our beloved Dirt really dastardly diabolical deep down?
