This isn’t a very big problem for most riders, since the detour in traffic isn’t that bad. But it must be a real pain for walkers. I wonder if a DC alert went out on this, or if blocking trails without warning is just not considered to be a big deal.

For what it’s worth, the trail was open this morning at 8am when I went through.
