Maxed out barrel adjuster

You should just be able to thread it back in and tighten it down. Once it is screwed back in, you can tighten the cable a bit and then go back to using the barrel adjuster as usual.

If you can’t turn the front barrel adjuster have you looked to see if there is a similar barrel adjuster on the derailleur itself? Some have them some don’t That may still have movement in the desired direction.

failing that Dirt’s approach is the other option.

Found a better option. Shift onto the lowest gear cog, and then without pedaling shift down to the highest gear. Tons of slack allows you to loosen the barrel a bit
