That’s a snack?! Well, I guess you have greater size to spread all that nutrition out over.

Related to another thread going on, am I the only one who can eat or drink anything at any time and not get a stomach ache? Guess so. Although Mr. Kelley seems to be making a bid for the crown with his “snack.”

Luckily it was at fairly slow speed. :D

Long rides I can eat pretty much anything because the pacing is slower–high intensity intervals require a little more planning.

The burrito I ate a few hours before a particularly hard 1 minute max effort interval session made for some discomfort.

The arlington->whites ferry->leesburg->arlington loop ride (whether it be via road or towpath on the MD side) is my go-to weekend ride. The ferry operator asked me a few weeks ago (on a particularly cold yet muddy day of towpath riding) if I biked everywhere. I told him mostly yes. He then asked if I had a car. I said yes. He said, “oh, good, that’s a relief.”

Heh. I guess he was really asking if I was one of those bike-crazy weirdos…or maybe he was just worried for my safety…

Out of idle curiosity, how many miles is this loop?

    Thanks.
