Hi Everyone!

Weather looks like it should be dry, with maybe a change of some drizzle today, so we’ll plan on riding! If we get another surprise downpour like last week, I’ll send out an e-mail with updated ride status. As usual, we’ll roll out of District Cycle Works at 6 PM. Head out to Great Falls on the canal, averaging about 15 MPH. COOKIES! Hope to see you there!

Pas moi. Jason broke his wrist Friday playing soft ball (Other Dude’s Face:1, Jason’s Wrist: 0) and surgery is tomorrow at 5am. I’m trying to be nice and limit my “for fun” bike activities at least until he’s starting to heal up. (Then I’ll be like “good luck tying your shoes, bee-yotch! I’m going for a bike ride.”)

Pro tip: Skirts and sandals are much easier to manage one-handed than pants and shoelaces.

(if you want to be nice, maybe just loan him some wardrobe items. then go for a bike ride. )

I am a probably not, but maybe. I am heading out of town this weekend and have some adulting to do before then.

I am also going to be out the next four weeks. There is a really fun MTB race series at Wakefield Park in Annandale that everyone who is not racing should come watch/heckle. I may or may not have been convinced to race on a borrowed single speed before doing the “real” race.
