Kid-safe route from DC Brau to The Public Option

I thought I could do the second leg on the sidewalk, meaning Bladensburg to Eastern to Rhode Island Ave, but RIA is terrible, even on the sidewalk. I’ll have one person with a kid on a cargo bike (he’d be on his own but just twisted his ankle this week and will probably still be on crutches), two other adults besides me, and three kids on their own bikes.

Just looking at a map, Vista St NE to Franklin St NE looks like the obvious route.

Also, looking at the map, I would totally do Atlas last, minimizing time on major roads. But I really don’t know that area of town.

Franklin gets really narrow and it’s kind of heavy traffic, I tried that this morning.

And the order is based on scheduling conflicts – Atlas opens earliest.
