I run a double legged one on my touring bike, but I can’t remember the brand. I’ll check later and let you know.

I have the ESGE/Pletscher Double Kickstand on my bike. I’m running a soma saga, which actually has a mounting plate for a kickstand.

I’ve got the pletscher also. Be warned, it’s a boat anchor–about 1.5 pounds. On a tourer you probably won’t care. It’s a fairly ingenious solution, and does what you want it to do.

Well, back in the day, we didn’t use no stinking kickstand. We used walls. If a wall wasn’t available, we just put our bike (actually the pannier) on the ground and let the rear wheel spin freely.

Ouch. Good to know. I did a little more reading online and it looks like kickstands and Surlys don’t like to play nice – without a mounting plate for a kickstand, it might be safer to forego it. Another said they bought the Pletscher kickstand but there wasn’t enough space to mount it on the Cross-Check.

I’ll just keep an eye out for walls, for now. Thanks everyone!
