Please Note – Trail marking work starts next week:

A contractor has been hired to mark the Four Mile Run Trail (between George Mason Drive and Shirlington Road), and the Lucky Run Trail (between Arlington Mill Drive and Rt 7).

Work is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 5/30.
Trails will remain open, but work crews will be directly on the trail.
Paint will dry quickly, but avoid riding over fresh paint until completely dry.

Use caution around the mobile work zone.

    Thank you.

Has this work been completed? I will ride through there this afternoon to check it out.

Rode it tonight. I hit a dip in the grassy part, so please be careful as you might hit an unexpectedly uneven surface.

For 8 years I’ve bunny-hopped the bridge joint on the Pennsylvania Avenue bridge over Rock Creek, but today I noticed they’ve finally put a bit of asphalt there to smooth it out. In those 8 years, I’ve blown two tubes and destroyed one wheel, so yay, but I kinda miss it. You can still bunny hop it, but it’s not the same if you won’t damage something if your timing is off.
