An enterprising 4 year old may be selling artisanal lemonade along the Custis at Nelson (before the ponds) on your way home tonight. Strawberry, watermelon, blueberry and regular on offer. Made with real fruit.

Steve–did you take note of the errant bollard on the ride yesterday?

I call for a spontaneous outbreak of civil disobedience.

Can we make a special request and have them set up shop at Happy Hour this week? I’ve got ideas involving the Radler = Bikes, Germans, and Beer thread
If this works, it will be the smartest business move for a child since that girl scout who sold cookies outside a weed store in Denver! Cyclist happy hours, such untapped potential $$$

I suspect we all took note of it. Just glad no one ran into it.

It’s been reported to the Arlington app, for whatever that’s worth.

Is that what you’ve done in the past? I thought you had secret inside connections as President of RUB?

ParticipantFairland mountain bike trails are finally dried out and back to normal (presuming it doesn’t rain again tonight)!

ParticipantI rode up the C&O from Georgetown to Chain Bridge this morning, and it was dry as a bone. I was expecting mud and a few puddles, but nada.

I sent an email to the city asking about removing the bollards. I haven’t heard back yet. In the message I pointed out that the spacing was off on some of the bollards, one was leaning, one had been removed leaving a bit of the collar behind and if they had to stay, they should at least be repainted.

Rode on that stretch today with NOVA-CBG on their Full-Priced History, Half-Priced Brunch ride. Looks like it’s just about done. Still saw the sign but it was put off to the side.
