A tip we learned last night from the ACPD: if police are called to a collision, they are required to take a report if requested (and if there is injury or damage worth more than $1000k). If they don’t take a report, they can’t issue a citation.
So if you’re involved in a collision, call the police. Insist they take a report. It’s your right and, by contributing to the official statistics and records, you’ll help make cycling safer for all. (And if you get push back, take the officers name and report him/her)
