ParticipantLove the photos! A little concerned about them looking to cyclists for food though. The one on the Virginia side of the 14th Street bridge seemed a little friendlier than I expected late one recent evening.

Pedestrians make easier prey.

I agree. That said, if a fox were successful at bringing me down, it would be eating well for a number of weeks!

ParticipantI suspect that the eagle(?) perched above Hains Point was motionless because it was frozen in place.
Either that, or it was watching me for signs of weakness.February 12, 2014 at 4:57 pm #993542dbb

Either that, or it was watching me for signs of weakness.Watching you for signs of weakness. That eagle chose unwisely. The eagle should avoid fixie riders if it wants something tender.

It’s spam, reusing text from earlier in the thread.

ParticipantI figured as much, but I wanted to call the spammer out. Odd that he didn’t post any spam links though. I think it’s their new strategy. Hide among and become one of the local riders. The unleash the spam links later.

Yup. You can post something innocuous and then go back a week or two later and edit the post.

Dont worry. Just make sure you bike faster than the next guy and, you know, when you pass forum members – given them a quick shove, knocking them over, leaving them in your dust. I hear gray beards make excellent fox-food.
PS: Our neighbor leaves food out for them. Our hound patrols the back fence, making sure that the foxes dont get any where near us cyclists.
