I was biking on Park St from Spokes to the W&OD. As I approached the crosswalk I hit something near the side of the road. It felt very solid, not like debris and not the curb. I fell into the street and quickly scrambled to the side. People in several cars stopped to help me. One was a local biker who said she saw me fall and that there is a known obstacle in the street there. It was dark and, although I had two front lights, one pointing down and towards the right, I didn’t see it. Broken wrist, I’ll be fine in a couple of months. No more riding in the dark for me!
So this is a known hazard, since the other cyclist knew about it.
Can someone else on this forum go take a photo? It should be reported.
Which crosswalk was it by, the red arrow or the green? Or somewhere else?
