For those who haven’t been following this long and sad saga, Strava changed its coding for authorizing Freezing Saddles to read Strava miles right near the end of the registration process. It then took a few days for our coders to change the site to reflect the new code. Without getting into the gory details, all of this meant that about half of you need to reauthorize Freezing Saddles to read your Strava miles–even if you already did it in prior years, even if Strava still says Freezing Saddles is authorized, and even if you did it during the registration process. And of course, if not remedied, this will cause chaos once teams are assigned.
If you are already showing on the leaderboard, you’re fine. Otherwise, please go to https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize and authorize. You will have the undying gratitude of your hard-working volunteers.
