Unlike SOME people I’d rather not ride in the rain. But of course it happens. Gotta admire Dirt’s attitude.

The question is how to deal with it when it does happen. Today I brought in a vest that will keep me sorta comfortable if the rain is cold and hard, without creating a steam bath if the rain is light and warm. I’ll see in a couple hours how it works out!

I have given up on rain gear and just get wet. Everything was just to steamy. Looks like today will be another interesting day. Of course the white shirt might not have been the best choice. Hmmmm wonder what it will be showing when it gets wet. Le sigh
have to ride home need my bike for this weekends rides. Looks like next week will be nothing but storms every evening too.
I am just going to have to learn to like riding in the rain I guess.

This. I too forgo body based rain gear when it is at all warm. Wet is wet and the rain feels good relative to stagnent sweat I look at rain as water cooling the motor. I have a back pack that has a waterproof cover that can be deployed as needed.

I took a long nap under cover until it ended today.

it’s worth it – think of it like training wheels for riding in the cold. then, remember, BELGIUM.

I saw “Edge of Tomorrow”–in spite of its starring Tom Cruise–just so I could avoid biking home during the downpour.
