Hunter Station Rd. closed for a month

Yeah, I was disappointed to discover this (I had forgotten) yesterday evening. Had to backtrack and ride up Twin Branches -> Sunrise -> Trail.

I didn’t see any signs indicating when it would be open again (thanks for providing that info!). Too bad it’s a whole month; I’m spoiled with that route.

For hill repeats, Clarks Crossing is right off the trail. There’s also a nice little loop that goes alongside Meadowlark then up Brookside and down Clarks Crossing. Brookside is a good hill.

On Friday afternoon, I talked to the crew doing the construction, and they said the road would be closed for another month or so.

The road was open today. (I’m not sure when it reopened–sometime between last Friday and this morning.)

The timber-deck bride was replaced. Everything is nice and smooth.

Yeah, I noticed it was open last Thursday. Forgot to update this thread. I am happy to have normal commute route restored. Hunter Station + Glade is very tranquil compared to riding down Sunrise Valley and South Lakes.
