Hump Day Coffee Club starts tomorrow!

A new weekly coffee club is starting tomorrow at Best Buns in Shirlington, in case you missed the previous post in which Consularrider suggested this great idea. Best Buns opens at 6 a.m., but I expect that most of us generally won’t get there until 7 a.m. or so. Pete will be there starting on the early side tomorrow. Bring your copies of “Best Bike Rides Washington DC” and get page 148 signed by Mr. Dirt hisself! More details are in the Scavenger Hunt thread below.

Today is bump day for Hump Day. Just bumping up an invitation/reminder re: Hump Day Coffee Club at Best Buns in Shirlington tomorrow. This CC seems to be starting before or around 7 a.m. See Mike’s post above, too.

I plan on attending HDCC tomorrow morning then heading over to the MVT and over across the 14th street bridge to witness the least publicized but most moving tribute to 9/11.

What time do you all usually meet up and what time is this convoy? I will try to make it if I can motivate the kid to get moving early enough.

I usually get there by 7 since I have to leave no later than 7:30 to make it to work on time. That’s especially true tomorrow since I have to part of a teleconference at 8:30, which means I can’t consider crossing the bridge.

I was thinking of getting there around 7:15, and rolling out around 7:45 (making it to the bridge a little after 8.)

I think I am out tomorrow, doing up workout with Tim & gang. I will plan to be there next week (likely the last time for a little while).

Had my red skull cap, my right white glove, and my left blue glove and took a moment to reflect as I passed under the bridge this morning after HDCC. Also remembering my colleagues killed in Benghazi a year ago.

I’ll probably be there between 7 and 7:15. In case anyone is curious, people come and go at various times and the group seems to break up around 8:30 or a little after that.
