Then I switched to the Polar Strap that I had bought for $12 and got some good HR data today, like this:
I’m going to send the Garmin strap back again, and ask for a replacement, but I’ll probably keep it only as a backup in case the polar dies on me too. I’ll report back in a few months to let y’all know how the polar strap is working out.
Yeah my replacement is acting up too. Sure is fun riding through a Gran Fondo with the discomfort of that strap only to look down to help pace yourself up a climb and see… 72bpm. Good thing I bought a power meter. :rolleyes:
Mark Blacknell swears by the Polar being much better than the Garmin strap too, so I might have to jump on that one.
