How/why am I being added to strava clubs for past years?

Obviously, this is not an official response. But I have never heard of that happening. Usually all they do is sell your email to Nigerian Princes. (p.s. that last part is a joke)

It is unlikely that the Strava integration on the Freezing Saddles web site had anything to do with it. It does not manipulate clubs at all as far as I can tell.

I removed myself from both groups. I assumed there would be bnew groups for 2019.

There will indeed be new groups. In fact, you’re already on the Team 13 group.

Adding to groups is a Strava function, not a Freezing Saddles one. Strava really shouldn’t be allowing people to add others to their group without consent. But it’s not something Freezing Saddles has any control over.
