As a side note, we will likely not have a how2 session on riding no hands through the snow on your fixie with 22mm slick tires. I just kinda liked that photo. :D

How else would you ride it!?

You can stop by late and we’ll catch you up. We’ll be there until 8pm.

Are you suggesting the answer is not khakis?

The feet suggestion would be the one I would be most interested. Not sure I will be able to make it, but hope some kind folk plagarize a tip or two for here. The only solutions I’ve ever come to are wearing winter boots.

Although, the riding with no hands down the snow trick also sounds like a good one to learn about….

Don’t tell me I can’t rock Dickie’s favorite – the Italian Tuxedo – now that I’m in the upper Midwest.

Any plans to do one of these in Arlington?

I’d be happy to help out if you need an extra hand, say with the dressing rooms.

There will be bib shorts, yes?

Yeah, I’d be interested given that I was scratching my head last night trying to figure out the best gear for today given the wide temp range between 7am and 5pm. Unfortunately I can’t make the event on Thurs. Drats! Foiled again. Another opportunity perhaps?

PS- Dirt, 22mm slicks? I’d have figured old steel trash can lids hammered to fit. Who needs rubber on the road? ;)

True fact: Chuck Norris rides on steel discs because the road doesn’t dare to offer any resistance.

So, Dress Up Funtime Starts at 6:30? Is this a formal presentation with a group of 20-somethings wandering around in winter wear kit, or was that just my rich and vivid fantasy world? In other words, is there a formal presentation or can I just drop in and look around before drifting off for pizza across the street?

In a separate thread you’ll have to fill us in on life in “fly over country.”

    +1

I don’t get out of work early enough to make it out there on time by bike and metro would be unpleasant and dicey time wise plus Gallows Rd looks mighty unpleasant to walk next to.

I’ve never been to Mosaic so checked out how to get there by bike figuring it might make a good Sat lunch exercusion. Google indicates the following route is best for bikes: WO&D to Gallows (bike trail), Prosperity, Merrilee Dr, cross Lee Highway and then I’m there. I looked on Google Streetview (dated Aug 2012) and the area around Mosaic looks like one big construction mess and rather bike unfriendly. Is that still the case? Any recommended routes? The small section on Lee Hwy from Shreve looks rather scary.
