ParticipantIt has taken every ounce of restraint I have to wait until Christmas for the Bar Mitts I asked for (likely coming from the in-laws) and not just order them myself! My gloves have a hard time keeping up once it drops below about 30.

My wishlist:
- CaBi expansion to Del Ray (scheduled for spring – better happen!) – and an annual membership
- A whole slew of bike lanes and cycle tracks ALL OVER THE PLACE
- My bike not to be stolen this year
According to a recent announcement, the Del Ray stations will be installed this winter.

ParticipantI hope Santa is bringing me a Garmin 510. Or maybe a GoPro.
I asked for merino everything and more lights too
The Sparkle Pony is getting a set of gravel wheels from me
(and a Selle Anatomica Titanico saddle that just arrived, although it may turn out to be too narrow.)and it’s about time to start thinking about N+1! (although probably not gonna happen in 2014. THANKS ECONOMY.

I’d be cool with just giving every cyclist a shoulder mounted rocket launcher.
I’d prefer mine to be hard mounted to my bike frame please.

ParticipantOkay, I guess not having been brought up with Santa, I didn’t fully grok how long and optimistic a list like this should be.
So lets try again
From Fairfax County
I would like a connection from the north side of Little River Turnpike direct to the Cross County Trail – yes, right where that Dominion Power property is, just west of the beltway, right there. Bike lanes on both sides of Hummer Road, its full length from LRT to Annandale Rd. And on Annandale Road, from Hummer to the Falls Church line. And a cycle track (with or without a complete street rebuild) on Little River Turnpike from the beltway to the Alexandria City limit.
From Arlington – I want the proposed Boundary Channel Drive improvements to be done. Tomorrow.
From the DoD. I too want a CaBi station at the Pentagon. And good bike signage around the Pentagon Reservation. heck, I really want bike lanes around the Pentagon Reservation to connect to aforesaid Boundary Channel Drive improvements.
From NPS – To finish the improvements on the DC side of the 14th street bridge. Tomorrow.
From the District of Columbia. Convert the Eye Street SW/SE lanes to a cycle track (as in the new plan) Tomorrow.
From the Virginia legislature – Due care. 3 ft passing. No dooring. This session.

Well, it’s gotten quite out of hand in recent years/decades.

I just go through that property. It connects to the trail — it even has a smooth transition.

Either you’re with the Magic Bike Infrastructure Fairy or you’re with the War on Christmas.

Marketing in magic pixie dust, Santa has been able to retain one of the most powerful lobbying firms on K (Klaus) Street. He is able to grant magically fanciful incredible political wishes. I mean look…. Congress just agreed to a two year budget deal…. that could only happen during the season of white magic pixie dust.
You think Santa would allow us on the Island of Misfit toys? I bet there are some really cool Frankenbikes there!

ParticipantFrom the Magic Bike Infrastructure Fairy:
1) A trail from Rosslyn along the GWMP and Spout Run to the Italian Store.
2) Bike/ped separation on the Custis [STRIKETHROUGH]in Rosslyn[/STRIKETHROUGH]
3) A nice trail through the Army-Navy countryclub
4) The trail along 50 in Courthouse back.December 13, 2013 at 8:41 pm #988554dasgeh

I’m more of a compromiser. I’d be cool with banning motorized vehicles on every other street.
If you’ll allow buses on the non-motorized streets, then the Mayor of Bogota agrees with you.

ParticipantDamn you KayakCyndi!
Hearing you wax eloquent about your new wheels at coffee club and out running around this afternoon, I swung by Bikenetic and did a little economy sustainment of my own.
Scored a Dirt grade flask, some VO fenders for my hybrid and a torque wrench just because I didn’t have one.
What can I say but Ho Ho Ho?

So sorry to have squandered such an awesome opportunity! (Although maybe she already knows.)
