    He Mr. Forum Admin, I think we should have two more buttons:
    * Rule 5 Button
    * Rule 9 Button
    Probably something else. So people can automatically pound on those buttons every time the subject of fowl weather comes up

    In like a lion – out like a lamb, hardly more like in through the lion’s mouth and out. . .

    @ian74, yes, I am a newbie. But no worries, I have snatched defeat from the jaws of almost satisfactory performance many times before. I am soft and weak, in abdominal consistency (TMI?) and willpower.

    And also, I have been desperately postponing business travel to places where I would not even be able to sleaze ride. My luck may be running out, so please consider soft pedaling and relaxing on the sofa for the time being until I provide you with a more detailed update.

    I do believe there are other strong performing newbs that you (we?) should be keeping an eye on and that will be far ahead of my modest performances thus far. But I honestly have no idea who they are.

    Latest advisory:

    “Snow squalls will affect the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas as well as southern Maryland through 8 PM. Heavy bursts of snow will reduce visibility below one-quarter mile at times. Northwest winds will gust over 40 mph and temperatures will rapidly drop through the 20s and teens this evening. This will cause any wet or slushy roads to rapidly freeze. Travelling will be very difficult this evening. Please drive slowly and allow extra time to get to your destination.”

    There’s a VERY good chance that a Freezing Saddles rookie will finish on top of the individual leader board this year!

    As another newbie, I thought you FS veterans lived by the code of “neither snow, sleet nor rain…?”

    Regardless of the weather, my teammates don’t ride. My “ringer” has moved to the island of Zwift. :rolleyes:
