#HeroesWorkHere Pointless Prize

Being that this is the year of the Freezing Saddles COVID edition, I would like add a COVID related pointless prize called #HeroesWorkHere

Rules:

1. Ride your bike a least a mile to any place that has a sign that contains “heroes” or “thank you.” These could be “Heroes Work Here” or “Not all heroes wear capes”.

2. As we know, heroes can by anywhere. It could be a hospital, school, grocery store, or a police station as long as it has the sign

3. Take a picture of the sign with the location in the background and post in this thread. If you like, you can add a little description about the location

4. Hashtag your ride #HeroesWorkHere on Strava if you’d like to add to the pointless prize leaderboard

5. May add some locations in the future for bonus points that don’t require a sign

Now go find the heroes!

Congrats to everyone that participated! We had 16 people participating biking a total of 623 miles to uncover 46 signs. Who knew there were so many and that they came in so many different forms!

Congrats to Sophie CW who found 15 signs! You’ve won some thank you stickers and a gift card so that you can thank anyone! Will be reaching out for your award.

Honorable mention for CBGAnimal for finding one in Spain!

Since I’m a bit partial to the unique signs, also some honorable mentions to:

– the cape at GW by accordioneur

– the fury of gratitude by tomacsh

– the tribute to all the essential workers in St Michaels by boomer
