I think you’ll find cyclists tend to like blurry lines. After all, we object to being subjected to the same road rules as cars, focusing instead on danger posed, intent of laws, etc.
So you’re suggesting banning bikes from the trails as well?

ParticipantNote, though that IF this guy ends up in an accident, the letter of the law WILL matter in a civil case.
That is a factor I keep in mind when tempted to violate the letter of the law as a cyclist or pedestrian.

ParticipantI’ve seen this dude around the crystal city connector for a couple of years now. He’s punishing himself enough already by looking that stupid on that thing, so I prefer to stay quiet and enjoy the situation.
The fat old guy with the two stroke motored orange/red mountain bike on the other hand…

ParticipantSo if anyone wants their very own motorized hoverboard thingy, looks like they’re a deal of the day on amazon… (and yes, I will mercilessly make fun of you for owning one if you buy it.) Interesting point is the top speed is 12.5 mph, which I think contributes to the fact I haven’t found the MVT rider who uses this to be annoying.
My favorite Q&A on it:
Q: Can I pop a wheelie on this model?
Answer: Chuck Norris can.June 21, 2017 at 1:15 pm #1072607TwoWheelsDC

Answer: Chuck Norris can.For a paltry $1299, you will soon be able to get one that’ll do 16mph! And it (probably) won’t set your house on fire…

Imagine if he rode a unicycle.

Do you apply this logic to cargo ebikes? Most loaded cargo ebikes can’t get above 15mph and the load is usually kids. So those should be forced on to streets? Or parents toting kids should just drive?
And what about crossing the river (or other situations where the only way to get from A to B is either trail or VERY busy road)?
