    Hi,

    I bike commute from Fairfax (near GMU) to Reston Town Center every day, usually via the trail on West Ox Road, but sometimes on the Fairfax County Parkway Trail. I was encouraged to join the forum by Tim Kelley while out with the family for a Kidical Arlington ride on Sunday.

    I started bike commuting a little over a year ago and am loving it. Planning that my older son will start biking to kindergarden next week (my wife will pull our toddler in trailer to escort him there).

    I have attended FC III a couple times and hope to make it out to FC I and FC II in the near future as well.

    Looking forward to learning from the great wisdom here and connecting with you all.

    Hi Andrew!

    Welcome to the forum. I’m Gillian, the crazy lady leading the ride on Sunday. Glad to see you again.

    When we got home Sunday afternoon, Sydney was telling her Dad about the ride and brunch, and called Sam her “new best friend”. :-) He’s an impressively strong rider.

    Good afternoon Andrew,

    I also live near GMU but I commute the other way to the Washington Navy Yard. My wife plans on biking our kids to school (Olde Creek E.S.) on some Fridays.
    Glad you spoke up and joined the forum.

    Thanks Gillian, we had a blast on Sunday, looking forward to the next one. Sam was talking about it all afternoon as well :)

    Awesome, our kids will be going to Oak View E.S. (we live in the neighborhood just south of University Mall). Kids are soon to be 5 and 2 years old.
