ParticipantThat’s not really enough information for me to help. The internal headsets all have specific standard sizes. How old is the bike? I’m guessing the steer tube is 1.125″ (1 1/8″).
The Google gave me this: http://www.shopping.com/fsa-headset-1-18/wQeJiLfhTGgSxgAygKt47g==/info

My C’dale Six13 has a fried Campy Record “Hiddenset” internal headset (I can’t really complain, it lasted ~10K miles) and frankly, I’m Campy illiterate and confused at what I can and cannot use to replace it- I understand that the headtube is actually shaped for the Campy bevel, so I need to find a headset that has the same spec BUT I’d rather not shell out two bills for another Campy for a bike that spends most of its time cruising up and down the WOD.
So, 1) Can I just replace the bearing cartridge and assume that the races are fine and 2) assuming that #1 is a foolish thing to do, how do I identify the “Campy” style insert on another maker’s unit?
LINK to Campy bearing cartridge which I assume is shown in an odd plastic case
I have the same frame and I have an inexpensive FSA headset. I’ll try and find the part number when I get home, but FSA makes a Campy-spec headset that shouldn’t cost you more than $35-40. This is the second year on it and I’ve had no issues with it.

Oops, sorry 1 1/8″- my google-fu failed me but that looks like the right product. Perhaps TBSFKAC (Fresh…) as a C’dale dealer will have one?
For the my edu-macation, what describes a headset spec outside of type and diameter? The Dirt-supplied link gives this: “45×45 Campagnolo / Cannondale) Orbit C FSA headset, 1 1/8, integrated” I’m cool with the brand and diameter and type (integrated) but have no idea what “Orbit C” and “45×45” stand for.

Orbit C is the model and IIRC the 45 refers to the angle of contact between the bearing and the frame. I think the Orbit C is the one I have but I’ll find the box when I get home, I don’t have that bike with me today.
