Was a nice ride. 200 miles over 4 days, got rained on a bit on Wednesday with the same system that’s here today but the rest of the days were nice. Yesterday was absolutely glorious for weather.
I’ll highly recommend the stretch from Cleveland south to Massillon, and the road sections were certainly manageable. The NPS sections through the Cuyahoga Valley were wonderful. Cleveland itself was…interesting is a good adjective. Kind of like riding a bike through the more interesting sections of SE DC :p
Riding the bikes through the center of the BF Goodrich plant in Akron was a blast, that was a route given to us by locals, and the trail itself looks like it’s only a month or so from completion through that stretch. South of Akron the trail actually is floating on a lake. Places on the map that show as gaps are under active construction.
Would definitely consider it again and would take more time in doing it as there were a LOT of historical diversions as side trips close to the trail.
