Do you mean the clamp size or width? Drop bars? Quill stem or threadless?

Drop bars. I’m looking for clamp size. I believe quill stem, but I had to look up the term, so it’s not something I remember off hand.

I’d guess 26mm, but it could be 25.4. Others can correct me if I’m wrong, but if there is a stem/bar mismatch between those two sizes, you should still be able to make it work. Does your stem look something like this?

Yep – post a picture of your existing stem / bar and someone may be able to help you.

If you can’t figure out what size it is (either 25.4mm or 26.0mm) you can pick up a 25.4mm h-bar, as well as a 25.4 to 26.0 shim.

Option #1: Go to a bike shop and ask them to measure it for you.

Option #2: Buy a digital caliper, like this, or this, or this. They are accurate to 0.02 mm depending on which one you buy. If you want to buy a manual one, see this video about how to use it.

Option #3: Measure the circumference, then divide by PI. You can use a measuring tape, or wrap a narrow piece of paper around it and mark it. This gives a more accurate result than trying to measure the diameter directly.
