Long overdue.
I wish they would add a bike lane there, while they’re at it. No need for a bike lane around the rest of East Potomac Park because there are two lanes in the same direction. (Mostly. Runners, dog walkers and roller bladers head in both directions, on the left, middle and right side of the road. Some cyclists do this too.) But on Buckeye Drive, there is only one lane in each direction. Some of the car drivers can get testy. Some of the cyclists too. Since most cyclists ride clockwise around Hains Point, I think they could get by with just a bike lane on the eastbound side.
