Does anyone want to try to get some group rides on Jan 01? I was thinking something CX/gravel focused. Maybe 60 miles out and 60 miles back on the C&O with diversions onto Seneca, Mt Nebo, Elmer School, … I assume 120 will still be too little for the Golden Nugget.

I wonder if we could do something symbolic at Circle of Cycles – even black arm bands.

Hey Raymo853, I and 2 other FZ2015 newbie wannabes would be interested to join your ride tomorrow morning, but probably only good for 50 miles or so. Can you accommodate us? Also, is there an inaugural FZ2015 ride at Hains Point tomorrow? Thanks.

I may do a long Arlington loop and would certainly be interested in making it a group thing, but 100, or even 50 miles ain’t happenin’.

Can you tell me more about the route and distance for your “long Arlington loop?” Thank you.

As much as I want to go to this memorial ride, it is just not in the cards. Still doing my plan of the C&O but starting from the Chain Bridge earlier at 8:00

Would you welcome tag alongs that might only make half or less of your Strava century route?

Yes please join us. Meeting one non-forum person under the Chain Bridge at 8. We are both bringing CX bikes and planning to diverge up onto the trails at Blockhouse Point. As long as it is not muddy, we plan to ride the lower MoCo course backward-ish then come back on the C&O.

Thanks, Raymo853. I have a few others who may want to ride, too, but we are all roadies and not all comfy on mud & grit, so I think I’ll pass on this invite. But let me know of any pavement rides you plan in 2015. Happy new year.

You could always stay with us on the C&O and then we could split at Blockhouse.

Regrets, again, this time around, but I’d be interested in knowing of your future rides so that I can contribute to FS2015. Thank you.

I plan to go to Hains Point around 11 a.m. or so to ride a few laps, practice peloton avoidance skilz and maybe cheer on some century riding friends. Will probably head out to Del Rey or Old Town afterwards. Anyone is welcome to join me.

Look for me at the end of Hains Point where The Awakening used to be at 10:30.

I’m not riding to Baltimore, but will be with you in spirit. It’s nice to know that we may be represented there in some way.

We’re going to stop at Proteus to pick up riders. There maybe refreshments. If you start the ride there it will be 15 miles shorter each way. ETA Proteus 11:45. Rolling again at noon…

I’ll plan to be there, and hopefully greet you for the new year at Hains Point.
