Do I go with the easy physical resemblance …

… or the person I really want to be when I grow up?

Yes, we should get the band back together! If I stop trimming my moustache, I should be able to pull off a decent Floyd Pepper by the time of the ride.

Newbie here! I’m interested, but as a D.C. dweller with no car, are folks usually open to carpooling? Would it be fairly easy to find someone to drive with on here?

Yes! Lots of carless folks on the forum and we generally do a lot of the ride share arranging on the forum. We’ll make sure you get a ride and have a group to ride with if you sign up.

Technically, Dr. Teeth and Floyd Pepper are Muppet Show characters, not Sesame Street characters, but I think Muppets are close enough.

According to the Dr. Teeth Muppet Wiki page: a picture of Dr. Teeth can be seen in the Sesame Street episode featuring the “Monsterpiece Theater” sketch spoofing Upstairs, Downstairs. So there’s additional justification in case anyone feels it necessary.

A colleague gave me a Kermit Pez dispenser today, so I guess that’s a sign I should be Kermit. Plus, that’ll allow me to reuse the green base layer from my 2017 costume. Now I’m off to find a Bluetooth speaker so that I can play “Bein’ Green” and “Rainbow Connection” on an infinite loop during the ride…

Komorebi De Frog. That costume has gotten some mileage.

So it sounds like everyone is leaning pretty heavy to characters from the Muppets. Any thoughts on going exclusively Muppet Show versus the Jim Henson universe of muppet characters?

I’m pretty certain the Great Pumpkin ride is chock full of Sesame Street and Muppet connoisseurs, so we probably need to think this through pretty carefully–in order to avoid derision from them all.

I dunno how many others around here wear adult diapers but remember that muppet babies is also an option.
