Judd (Donatello) and Komorebi (Leonardo) and I (???) have been batting around the idea of dressing up as the Ninja Turtles for this ride.

Robyne (Michelangelo) says she’s in as of this morning.

I like these hooded jumpsuits cause you could pull the hood over your helmet for the big head effect.

It would be easy to convert a backpack into a shell with a piece of cardboard, I’d actually be fine with making the shells for you guys if you want them to be more matchy-matchy.

It would be great to have a bigger gang and there are lots of options for more characters: April, Splinter, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, Casey Jones, Krang, Footclan, etc…

Wow, I totally forgot about Krang and Footclan. If more people are interested in joining the TMNT crew, I’d be willing to switch to a different character to free up one of the turtles. LSG, Komorebi and I were gnomes on foxes last year and the other ride participants got a big kick out of it. We ended up posing for a bunch of pictures. My favorite part of the ride was when I overheard somebody at a rest stop say, “Here I am suffering in this wind and I look over and three f**king gnomes pass me.”

Not much difference between a bo staff and a night stick. Look out for a post tomorrow about people being clubbed for not calling passes on the MVT.

I can confirm that the costumes made the ride a lot more fun. My second-favorite reaction came when we passed two other riders. After we called our pass, the rider in the rear looked back and — without missing a beat — called to his riding partner, “Foxes passing on the left.”

LSG, those hooded jumpsuits are amazing. If we want to make the costumes even more realistic, reji has some martial arts weapons that she might be willing to lend if we ask nicely.

Raphael is still unclaimed Steve. I like the idea of being Shredder (cape!) or a really misshapen Krang (Pink tentacles!) but I’ll settle for Raph if there aren’t 4 claimed turtles come game time.
