Ghost Bike for Cyclist Killed at Minnesota and Burns SE

Some one has installed a ghost bike at the corner of Minnesota and Burns SE for J Roberts Elliot. He was murdered by a hit and run driver July 23rd at the corner of Minnesota and Burns Ave SE. I only learned of this when I rode by the dost bike on Friday.

Yes, the article shows a photo of the original bike. It had two wheels. Unbelievable and so cold.

Anybody have a wheel that can replace the one stolen?

I noticed someone tried to remove the front wheel as well.

One man’s memorial, is another man’s free bike… sad.

I was struck by the fact that he passed while holding a stranger’s hand. RIP.

And DC has target the memorial for removal. Just like they did for Alice Swanson’s on R Street and I am assume like others I do not know of.
