The concept is pretty wonderful. However, none of the breweries are truly local, and I wonder how much of the registration fee really goes to help anyone. I hope enough to matter. Still, this can be *another* reason to go for a ride…

    Asked and answered:

There are a few beneficiaries of the ride:

    1. 50% of profits from the event goes to The Gates Philanthropy Partners for Covid 19 Relief
    2. Each of our cycling charities that we work with throughout the year – can be found on each event page within the website – will receive $5 per person they have sign up. Its an incentive program to help boost the event.
    3. We partnered with Autism Speaks and riders are making accounts on their website and 100% of the funds raised there go to Autism Speaks for Autism Awareness month.

In addition, the breweries in a way are beneficiaries since we are going to bring them a lot of business when the tap rooms re open. Essentially we are buying everyone on the ride 2 beers at their favorite brewery listed.

I hope that helps! :) Please let me know if you have any questions
