Yeah, what if people can’t volunteer for the Fun Ride because they’ll be busy volunteering for the Fun Ride? That could be a problem.

ParticipantI wish I could. I’m in training all day. Sad that I’ll miss it this year. This ride is a lot of fun!!!

That would be an excellent problem to have.
Speaking of problems, do I need to post photos from this weekend of the kind of people who will be at the Rosslyn station?

ParticipantN’ah. The debauchery of Rosslyn has already been exposed in the DD thread.

Please don’t. I’m trying to convince my wife to attend.

ParticipantI would like to thank all of the HELPFUL people for the responses I’ve gotten to this thread on volunteering for the Arlington Fun Ride.
To be clear, I do encourage volunteers for the Rosslyn location. I just suggest earplugs and the ability to close your eyes and pretend like you didn’t just see that.

ParticipantThe Rosslyn pit stop will be the most fun! We are still in need of volunteers so if you haven’t sold yourself to Mr. Blacknell just yet, please let me know!

ParticipantIf I weren’t bringing my wife and towing my daughter in the Burley I’d totally be volunteering, Rosslyn was a party last year!

ParticipantI think Zanna would have an easier time getting volunteers if she didn’t announce she wouldn’t be there. Everyone’s a little skeered to be left alone with Tim.

Sounds like you’ll be a perfect ride marshal!

ParticipantWith the Mount Vernon Trail technically closed during the federal shutdown, does that impact the Arlington Fun Ride?

Here’s what I’ve heard:
“We are proceeding with the ride route as planned whether or not the Federal government is open or not on Saturday. Commuter traffic has continued to use the MVT this week without objection or interruption from the National Park Service, and we do not expect that to change on Saturday. If that makes you uncomfortable and you would prefer not to join the ride, we quite understand. In the alternative, we’d certainly welcome your help at a pit stop.”
