    Just to clarify. We have to hashtag on Strava and post the picture here? No picture required on Strava?

    Just trying to figure out what I need to do. Luckily, I didn’t go by any water today, so I didn’t miss out. But, I certainly will in the future!!

    Isn’t that actually the Jerome Park Reservoir? Not that I have been that close to it in over 50 years.

    Doesn’t look “freely accessible to the public” since it’s fence off.

    Dang! I wish I would have come up with that comment. Nice catch Laurie.

    You can post your pic here, on Strava or the FS Facebook page, but please include the link here so that it can be found for verification purposes.

    Good catch, indeed. The faceless cabal shall query @Consularrider for further evidence of “freely accessible”!!:-0

    @consularrider
    , can you provide any evidence that the body of impounded water behind the fence is indeed “freely accessible to the public”?

    This game is getting serious. Rules are meant to be broken, brake that fence and go for a swim.

    No, you can’t get inside the fence (like so many of the NYC water supply reservoirs), but we do drink from it at our apartment. :( Should I substitute Van Cortlandt Park Lake from yesterday’s ride? Not a great photo, more of the snow pile in the parking lot, but at least it’s not fenced off. I also had Woodlands Lake along the Old Put at the Great Hunger Memorial near Elmsford in Westchester County, but I only have a photo of the water coming over the dam.

    Well I guess that a snow ⛄️ pile does indeed constitute “impounded water” which is “freely accessible to the public,” so the faceless cabal grants @consularrider his well fought for #lakefinder point!!!!

    Actually, there is a real lake in the photo, just above the bike and the SUV. So if I was desperate my massive puddles on Randall’s Island today would have counted if I took their photo?

    Instead, FS2021 – #lakefinder #2 on 1/2/2021 – The Pool in Central Park

    Found a Lake Placid in Maryland. There’s no olympic oval or mountains nearby but it is serene. It’s in a community perhaps appropriately called Lakeland in the Kentlands as there a few other “lakes” there. Not sure if we also need a sign but it is listed in Google Maps.27b8ba6fb4e7f3dd47c49c14958362d5.jpg
