I was posting the route in the opposite direction, 20 miles, starting at Commonwealth Joes in Pentagon City and ending at Blue Bottle Coffee in Georgetown. Unfortunately, I got timed out as I typed in all the stops. If I do the ride, I will allow five hours to enjoy the coffee, spread out the caffeine, and get some food at several of the places.

I always drink espresso, but this one time, I drank tea as well, and the girl I was dating called me a “tea-drinking sissy.” I love the phrase and still use it 15 years later.

But, don’t kill yourself drinking coffee if the doc says you shouldn’t. I wouldn’t really think of anyone as a sissy, and besides, I’ve seen DrEvil’s vids so it wouldn’t matter if I did.

#FS2019coffeeride side bet #1 is done, Commonwealth Joe in Pentagon City with an espresso. There were four ACPD motorcycle officers there while I was. The about three hours later I saw two of them in Clarendon and was asked if I was the same rider they had seen earlier.

Almond latte in my trusty travel mug @ Green Lizard Cycling in Herndon in the great company of @CBGanimal and @Reji, after the Powder Mill Hill climb and Reston Lakes Loop, en route to Leesburg to retrieve a lost credit card from our gravel ride last Sunday out in London County. We also raided the free bread samples around the corner at the Great Harvest Co bakery. My favorite was the chocolate [emoji515] brownie bread [emoji506] [emoji847]
