A Tuesday morning no hills loop down the Nidda to Höchst, then up the Main to Offenbach Hafen where we stopped for breakfast (at 11:30 am) at Navale. We both had the Narrow Boat which included coffee. No doughnuts to be found, but some great looking cakes I’ll go back to sample.

This challenge seems like a great way to outsource and find all the coffee shops in the area. Will be interesting to see if we run out of coffee shops towards the end.

Next entry is Bourbon in Foggy Bottom. It’s conveniently located on the L St cycle track. Looks like they recently redecorated the menu on the wall. They use fair trade beans from Rwanda. Got a regular latte but it was very tempting to get one of their hot chocolate like their Mexican or a seasonal latte like their eggnog. A nice place to sip coffee and enjoy other people whizzing by.

Pear Plum Cafe in Mt Pleasant. Was a bit sad when Flying Fish closed but fortunately Each Peach Market next door took over this space. If you’re a fan of kolache, they have a good selection and it doesn’t disappear as quickly as some other places. A pleasant place for coffee.

I can still hit one of the gas stations. Besides, I’m in second place.

On 1/11 I hit the café at the Hugendubel bookshop next to the Hauptwache because I had to get my German class textbook before heading to the Consulate for class and lunch. 1/10 was a repeat at Eifler so it doesn’t count for this PP, but did for Doughneuring.

Today I stopped at the Brot Haus Bäckerei & Café just off Alfred Brehm Platz by the zoo. Just had the standard coffee.
