Originally inspired by jrenaut at the end of FS14, the FSLNHPP has now become a tradition. The truly elite badasses gather down on Hains Point and ride around in circles until just before midnight. They then stop their GPS devices and drink a toast to another year of Freezing Saddles.

So all you badasses, or any Freezing Saddles player or guest, are invited to join the FSLNHPP on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Although we will–for the only time this century–drink our toast in what is officially spring (it starts at 11:50pm), those last 10 minutes prior to 11:59:59pm will still count for FS miles.

Teams and captains – Rally your team to have the most participants. Bring banners, wear costumes, bake snacks to share.

More details to follow, and it’s on the calendar already; make sure it’s on yours.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

I’m pumped for this year after missing last year – it was literally the day of my Achilles surgery.

This event is, simply put, the BEST THING about Freezing Saddles.

Decent weather? This contest isn’t called “let’s only go for a bike ride when it’s nice out saddles”

It’s called “Freezing Saddles”, so I’ll be out there only if it’s below 32 degrees. :D

Since this has been my 2nd flub year due to injury, I will repeat the tradition and provide a buffet of Freezing Saddle snacking goodness at HP from the back of my Mini.

I am going to attend this year, allowing for what I consider reasonable weather – not SteveO’s definition. ;)

While I have been invited (merci to Steve O!), I would love to go, but in these scary abnormal times, it would not be a socially responsible thing to do. Moi & the Trek that is set up to run FAST at night will be there in spirit.

I know everyone is different but I think cycling outside in a loosely organized group is an acceptable activity so unless this event is canceled I plan on getting out for some laps and fun.

    No hugs though.

I plan to be there and I welcome anyone else who wants to join me to come on down. I will bring some “lemonade,” as tradition compels.
