Kitty
ParticipantIn other news, I have another Pointless Prize I’d like to do. Announcing the “Taste the Rainbow” prize! This will go to those who ride on each of the 6 bikeshare bikes in a single ride (documented by photos).
Formal rules to follow. Plus I might make this a time-sensitive one limited to the week of St. Patrick’s Day…

It’s pointless. Bob Cannon can always out-puppy anyone.
Did I mention that we are volunteering at the Lost Dog Rescue pop up shelter in Seven Corners? And we need volunteers to help walk and play with the dogs. Pretty much any day like between 3 and 6. We are closing (locking it up for the evening, turning off the lights) the shelter this Sunday if you wanna come then (well actually….. you cant…. because you and I will be at the BikenetiCX race!!! (which doesnt allow dogs – I know, right?)
This is Darby. Darby is part horse! A big dumb lovable dog at the 7C pop up.

Love this one, Kitty! I’m imagining boxes of Lucky Charms as prizes.

ParticipantSo there is something on the line other than pride (and assuming nobody else was interested): I’d like to sponsor one or more #kidical prizes. Definitely the usual mileage one; I have a few other ideas percolating (and may steal someone else’s ideas to apply here). Prize details TBD.
Traditional rules apply: #kidical rides are those where one or more children are somehow attached to your bike and pulled along. Could be a trailer, cargo bike, trailer cycle, child seat, etc.
Since the question came up elsewhere: For this prize, rides involving duct taping a child to the handlebars count only where explicitly permissible by law.

kidjoring by ricky d, on FlickrSince this is a scenario where the child is pulling the adult, I think it’d be a separate prize/category.
Conversely, if the adult were wearing the harness with the child on the bike – that doesn’t count because the adult isn’t biking.
So no, sorry.
One more clarification: this prize is for human children only. Though some people may consider their puppies/kitties/etc. as “their children” – for the purposes of this competition, they do not count. So something like the Buddyrider, as cute as it is, does not apply here.

Let’s wrangle 16 of ’em up and start the 2018 Kiditarod race.

The Michigander “You call THAT a snow day?!” Prize, will be back for its much-anticipated 3rd season.
Rolls eyes at more Michiganda. Since mid-Westerners are always telling us how tough they are, maybe we need to level the playing field by making anyone from the mid-West do all their rides in shorts and short sleeve jerseys.
Unless you’re from the mid-West and being social, in which you are allowed to use arm warmers.

I recommend these arm warmers for the boastful Michigander:

You are a sick man, Birru.
This is to give them exercise, not exploit them for your own gain!
