This after two weeks ago where their special report (about 20 pages worth) was dedicated to just how great cars are and pronouncing ‘peak car’ to be a long ways off -despite a number of recent studies that note that car use is on the decline, esp. in the US and EU.

Well then dammit I want a clubhouse. I want a clubhouse where I can get a damn drink after riding and chat for hours on end with other bikers and we can bullshit each other with stories about what great riders we are, and I want miles of rollers through green pastoral country set aside just for club use.

I read the teaser to this post in the “What’s new” view and didn’t read what Thread it was under. Thought it was under the “Commuters – What are your employer asks” and was about to stand up and slow-clap.

Bike cages…showers…community fixit tools. PSHAW. I want a clubhouse where i can get drunk after riding (my bike into work each morning)

Don’t we have two such clubhouses already? Alas, they only operate as such on Fridays and don’t serve alcohol but FCCI and FCCII have the bullshit and lie to each other components nailed.
