dbb – side conversation: Did I overhear you say that you work with Building Energy systems (when you were bringing up the idea of top-10 lists for bike traffic improvement stuff)? Just curious – its what I spend my time doing when not riding around on my bike.

The secret password and handshake is just showing up at Swings Coffee, 1702 G St NW (right across the street from the Old Executive Office Building) between 730 and 9am Friday mornings. Very open and inviting group.

The password and handshake are so secret even the people that come to the coffee club don’t know them! Seriously, this is just a bunch of fellow travelers and everybody is welcome. Hell, you don’t even have to like coffee.

Being a late bird, this is not something I could ever reasonably fit into my schedule, but it looks like fun. My son is starting middle school in three weeks and will have to leave on the crack o’ dawn bus, so I will be up anyway. Maybe I will go and see if they let me in. I do like coffee.

(This morning, however, was reserved for a plumbing emergency that resulted in me metro’ing in even later than usual).

FCC is definitely fun and M.E. Swing definitely brews some GREAT coffee.

Don’t be put off by my bike giving everyone the finger… It was kinda grumpy this morning.

I made it as far as the TR bridge, and then bailed as the deluge had largely ensued. So disappointed. I havent been to FCC for about a month! So instead, I just had to continue on my way to the FCC.
